Announced publicly on 18 January every year, the results of the 2022 indices were presented by the Dubai Government Excellence Program, which operates under the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai. The initiative is part of the Program’s efforts to continuously develop the quality of services provided by Dubai government entities.

HH Sheikh Hamdan said: “Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, we constantly strive to exceed the expectations of citizens, residents and visitors. Dubai’s ability to ensure high levels of excellence is driven by a diligent government team that works around the clock to serve people and ensure their happiness.”

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the results of the Government of Dubai Customer Happiness Index, which the Dubai Government Excellence Program has been monitoring for close to two decades.

Commending the results achieved in the Customer Happiness Index 2022, the Crown Prince of Dubai said: “I am delighted with the achievements of Dubai government entities, which recorded an average customer happiness rate of 86%.”

His Highness congratulated the top three entities in the Customers Happiness Index: Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, which scored 97.4%; Dubai Chambers, which scored 97%; and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, which scored 94.4%.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan also commended the efforts of government entities that achieved the highest employee happiness scores. He said: “The Employee Happiness Index 2022 saw Government of Dubai entities achieving an average employee happiness rate of 88%.”

The Crown Prince directed government entities to analyse customer experiences to enhance results and develop their services to keep pace with customer expectations. His Highness also directed the Dubai Government Excellence Program to set a time-bound improvement target for each entity that scored below the average rate in both indices. He urged the entities to proactively offer services that can raise customer and employee happiness.

The Dubai Government Excellence Program updated its 2022 survey for gauging employee happiness while retaining the main index and sub-indicators to enable comparisons with previous years. The updated survey incorporated a few additional criteria in line with global human resources best practices. The main index includes four sub-indicators: positivity at work, job harmony, job satisfaction and job loyalty.

The Program also updated the survey for its Government of Dubai Customer Happiness Index, introducing several amendments that reflected global best practices in service quality and customer experience management. Since its launch in 2004, the Government of Dubai Customer Happiness Index has seen exceptional growth.

The Dubai Government Excellence Program continues to integrate the results of the instant happiness surveys for services provided through websites and smart applications measured by the Dubai Digital Authority, which enhance the value of the Index and its contribution to improving customer happiness across all Dubai Government service channels.

Hamdan bin Mohammed issues directives to offer the top-performing high school students financial rewards and scholarships for prestigious universities

Meeting held as a result of a system for recognising and rewarding top Dubai students, aimed at empowering youth, talent and scientific competencies from across the world

Pursuing academic excellence is an embodiment of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision for the future of Dubai, said His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed made the comments during his meeting with Dubai’s top-performing high school students in Emirates Towers. During the meeting, held in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed affirmed that HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision is based on man and his limitless capabilities, and in which youth are a fundamental pillar with their creative minds and inspiring ambitions.

The students, who graduated from their respective curriculum during the academic year 2021-2022, were drawn from public and private schools and various curricula. His Highness followed up on their aspirations, discussed their plans for higher education, and motivated them to continue to excel and invest in their capabilities to meet the future needs and priorities of Dubai’s strategic sectors and raise Emiratisation rates.

His Highness said: “Emirati youth are the nation’s pillar of development and the best hope for its success. In Dubai, we remain committed to nurturing their skills and enhancing their participation in nation-building. Scholarships

The meeting was held as a result of a system for recognising and rewarding top Dubai students. Previously announced by His Highness, the plan focuses on empowering youth, talent and scientific competencies from across the world. It also supports efforts to develop Emirati youth and their capabilities, especially in strategic sectors.

The system includes discretionary incentives providing top achievers with opportunities for academic scholarships and financial rewards. Emirati students can obtain scholarships within and outside the country at the most prestigious international universities. Resident students can get financial aid for international university branches in free zones and a priority issuance of golden visas for them and their families.

Methodology

In coordination with the KHDA and Dubai’s public and private schools, a smart electronic system is applied to standardise high school results across different curricula to ensure fairness while calculating grades. This system identifies Dubai’s top achievers across diverse curricula and is aligned with international best practices.

The system identified the top 50 male and female high school pupils for the academic year 2021-22, as of August 2022. These included 25 Emirati and 25 resident pupils from select curricula, including the UAE’s Ministry of Education, American (advanced level), International Baccalaureate, and British curricula. The cohort includes also graduates of Grade 12 and Year 13.
