The Dubai Plan 2021 was launched in December 2014 in the aim to reaffirm Dubai’s position as a global centre and leader across various fields including tourism, economy, and finance. The Dubai Plan 2021 ultimately looks at the holistic future of the emirate, ensuring a sustainable quality of life, and an empowered and happy community.

The Government of Dubai is the custodian of the city’s development and have put the Dubai Plan 2021 focusing on the development of six key areas that would elevate the city and further prepare it for the future. These include: The People; The Society; The Experience; The Place; The Economy; and The Government.

The Dubai Plan 2021 is a testament to the forward-looking nature of the emirate and its leadership and heavily focuses on the future of the city from an economic perspective – the fuel that drives the city into the future. The Dubai Plan 2021 is an ongoing plan that’s always prone to change. It’s a living document that is upgraded constantly to meet the ever-changing needs of the community and ensure the happiness and satisfaction of the Emirate’s residents.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum -Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, conducts an annual meeting called ‘The Creative Lab’ with stakeholders and strategic partners to evaluate the plan’s progress. The findings and evaluation then determine if The Dubai Plan 2021 needs to be upgraded with new and innovative ideas that will continue to serve its purpose.

The plan’s implementation and execution is constantly monitored and evaluated via a report called ‘Dubai Pulse’, that submitted to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, ensuring continuous progress and development.
