Initiatives
City Makers
The City Makers initiative, launched by the Dubai Model Center in 2016, aims to enhance cooperation between government entities teams. The initiative supports creating taskforces from various relevant entities with the aim of designing exceptional shared government services. The ultimate objective is to achieve a one-government approach and create new and innovative services that cater to all segments of society and meet their expectations.
The City Makers initiative also focuses on effective communication with customers. It employs special tools and initiatives to gather customer feedback on shared government services.
As part of its efforts to support creativity and innovation in government services and anticipating future needs of customers, the center also launched the “Young City Makers” initiative in 2017. This sub-initiative focuses on engaging young people mainly students who are going to be the future customers of Government of Dubai services. It encourages young minds to present their ideas around redesigning government services and evaluating digital government services, while inviting them to propose new government services that will cater to their future aspirations.
